Corker “Trigger” Tax Bill Amendment is Idiotic!

The #1 real news story is the possibility of Congress passing the Trump Tax Cuts and Reform bill.  Something this critical to this nation, always incites Idiots to come up with Idiotic schemes, like Senator Bob Corker’s “Trigger” amendment.   Is this amendment about Roy Roger’s horse?  Nope.  It is the proof that Forest Gump was right when he said, “Stupid Is As Stupid Does”.

Bob Corker purports to be a deficit hawk.  Bob Corker purports to be a fiscal conservative.  But, this amendment is neither a guard against raising the deficit nor is it fiscally conservative.

Corker’s amendment would require tax cuts be reduced if the national debt rose after this bill as passed.  He has also stated that if a recession occurs, then this trigger would raise taxes when revenues fall due to a recession.  What part of the trigger is fiscally responsible and conservative?  NONE of IT.

There is no doubt that during the first 18-24 months, treasury revenues from income taxes may be reduced until business has had time to reinvest and create more jobs.  Further, it will take some time for the increased take home pay makes it way into the market via consumer purchases.  If you “trigger” a tax increase during this period, it is a surety that the impact of the tax cuts and reform on the economy will be reduced.  If we experience a cyclical recession during the initial 18-24 months, which is the same impact as the slowing of revenues, then the LAST thing you would do is RAISE TAXES.  You would have to be an idiot, or a Progressive-Leftist-Socialist to advocate tax increases during a recession, BOB.

My question is where was Bob Corker and anyone who now claims to be against increasing the nation debt when Bush and Obama rocketed the national debt to $20 Trillion!  Crickets.

So Bob, why don’t you man up, buy some elevator shoes, stand on a step-stool, take two Viagra, and just say that you want to throw a monkey-wrench in Trump’s tax plan.  Hypocrite.
