Romney’s “Duck-Fil-A” LIberal Response

Romney DUCKED the Chick-Fil-A controversy by weighing in like the conservative light-weight he is by saying:

“Those are not things that are part of my campaign”

The “Things” are the First Amendment right of Freedom of Speech and a private citizen’s right to believe in the age-old traditional definition of family/marriage.

Romney in Front of a Chick-Fil-A...Oops, no Romney!
Romney in Front of a Chick-Fil-A…Oops, no Romney!

Romney’s lack of conservative core values came to the forefront once again when he failed to stand behind a private business owner’s personal opinion that was seized upon by hard left Mayors and other hard left politicians to politicize the Founder of Chick-Fil-A’s personal opinion, while totally obliterating the First Amendment!  The left-wing firestorm came after Dan Cathy, the founder of Chick-Fil-A, said during an interview with the Baptist Press, that he was “guilty as charged” for backing “the biblical definition of a family.”

What a contrast between Cathy and Romney.  On the one hand you have a private citizen who has no fear of exercising his Freedom of Speech while our Republican Presidential Candidate is full of fear of offending someone who would probably not vote for him anyway by ducking the First Amendment and Freedom of Religion issues, fairly key principles for the President of the United States to weigh in on!   Romney’s lack of spine is exactly why conservatives and Tea Party members were and are not thrilled with Romney and his RINO colleagues.  If he won’t stand up for principled differences during the heat of the election, we have no faith that he will do so during the heat of governing.  Does he think the Left will be nicer to him if he is elected?

I firmly believe that the way you start is the way you end.  Romney is off to a pretty bad ideological start.  Here is a warning to Romney should he win.  We conservatives, libertarians and Tea Party members will hold his feet to the fire on every decision he makes that is not in the best interest of this country.  He won’t get a pass like we gave G. W. Bush.  We are tired of having to tolerate mediocracy in our Republican leaders because they are “better” than the alternative.  We will not sit for second best this time around.  You want our vote, you will also get our wrath when, and you will, revert back to your luke warm moderate roots…
