The Black Caucus and Obama–The Real Racism in America Today

The Chairman of the Black Caucus (CBC), Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-Mo.), was quoted Sunday in the Miami Herald as saying:

“If Bill Clinton had been in the White House and had failed to address this problem, we probably would be marching on the White House.”

These comments were in relationship to the recession and the high unemployment in black communities.  The statement also makes it clear that the CBC would treat a White President differently than a Black President!  Oh Really?  Cleaver went on to say:

“There is a less-volatile reaction in the CBC because nobody wants to do anything that would empower the people who hate the president.”

Now, this phrase indicates that the CBC cannot have an honest public dialogue regarding Obama’s policies because they would risk “empowering” people, Whites, who hate the President.  Excuse me!  Whites don’t hate President Obama as a person or as a person with some African-American heritage.  But, we totally disagree with his ECONOMIC POLICY THE SAME AS YOU DO!  It is not personal nor racial.  We hated the policies of LBJ and Carter as well and they were White!

So, rather than going on television and discussing your disagreements with the President’s economic failures and his disastrous policies, you and other members of the CBC attach the Tea Party who is trying to fix the President’s economic failures and disastrous policies not only for Whites, Hispanics, Asians, native Americans, but for BLACKS!!!

Get off of your race baiting high horse and start working with those who are trying to help…YOU.
