Sheila Jackson Lee: “We (whoever that is) Hate Obama because he is Black!” No Dummy, It is His Policies

Sheila Jackson Lee continues to aptly demonstrate her lack of intelligence.  Today, she said

“I am particularly sensitive to the fact that only this president — only this one, only this one — has received the kind of attacks and disagreement and inability to work, only this one,”…  “Read between the lines…  “What is different about this president that should put him in a position that he should not receive the same kind of respectful treatment of when it is necessary to raise the debt limit in order to pay our bills, something required by both statute and the 14th amendment?”

In case you couldn’t figure out what she was referring to was Obama’s Race!

Sheila race aside, how could the Congress be mandated to raise the debt limit?  If raising the debt limit was mandatory, why even have a debt limit?

Sheila, the Section 4 of the 14th Amendment reads as follows:

Section 4. The validity of the public debt of the United States, authorized by law, including debts incurred for payment of pensions and bounties for services in suppressing insurrection or rebellion, shall not be questioned. But neither the United States nor any State shall assume or pay any debt or obligation incurred in aid of insurrection or rebellion against the United States, or any claim for the loss or emancipation of any slave; but all such debts, obligations and claims shall be held illegal and void.

Sheila, so where does it say that if Congress does not raise the debt ceiling then Congress is not adhering to the US Constitution?  The 14th Amendment was adopted to deal with the aftermath of the Civil war and the reconstruction changes needed to recognize the changes to new slavery-free America.  The recognition of the “public debt” was added to make sure that the debts of the Confederacy were not included as part of the “public debt”.   The actual debt limit was not created until 1917 when the Second Liberty Bond Act was adopted by Congress.  Article I Section 8 of the United States Constitution gives the Congress the sole power to borrow money on the credit of the United States.  Up until the Second Liberty Bond Act in 1917, Congress had to adopt mini debt limits when ever they encumbered the nation with more debt.  The modern debt limit mechanism was finally adopted in 1939 whereby Congress could approve a stated dollar amount as the total debt limit of the United States.

Sheila, we Conservatives object to Obama’s fiscal policies that have crippled this country and threatens to lower our global standing to just another debtor nation.

  • Obama has presided over an economy that new features the highest Black adult and Black youth unemployment in our recorded history!
  • Obama has presided over an economy that features the lowest levels of net worth by Black families in decades.
  • Obama has enslaved Black, White, Asian, Hispanic, and all other races and nationalities living in this country to a debt level of $46,500 per US Citizen and wants to pile on even more debt.
  • We detest his constant class warfare tactics pitting one American against another.
  • We object to Obama, and you, hiding behind your race as a shield.
  • Stand up like a man and a women and debate you ideas in the open without raising your race shields.
  • We don’t see Obama as black or white.  Point in fact he is both.
  • We see him as a Progressive Ideologue!  Period.
  • We see you as a marginally capable member of Congress who is filled with hate, envy, and lacks the initiative to work at your job serving this great nation.

Some of your past comments have included:  (before you read these, remember she obtained a B.A. in political science from Yale University in 1972, followed by a J.D. from the University of Virginia Law School in 1975)

Tea Party Members:  You said that Tea Party participants were nothing more than Ku Klux Klan members without their robes.  REALLY?  And that is not Racist?

Venezuela US Relations:  You said that we should have better relations with Venezuela as it is a friendly nation.  You went so far to propose that we sell F-15 fighter Jets to Venezuela and its President, Hugo Chavez.  Chavez is as least as bad as your new enemy, Qadhafi, whom you and Obama used to think of as a trusted leader.

American Flag on Mars:  Being from Houston, one of the main command centers for NASA, you should have known better when you asked if the Mars Pathfinder had taken an image of the flag planted there in 1969 by Neil Armstrong.  To Neil’s surprise, he actually landed on the Moon, and not Mars in 1969.  And you actually vote on appropriations for NASA, or its demise?

North and South Vietnam:  Sheila actually praised the peaceful relations between the Nations of North and South Vietnam and lifted the relationship as an example of how two separate nations could work together?  She said that North Vietnam needed to improve their Human Rights policies.  Really?  Since we cut and ran in 1973, North and South Vietnam were one nation as the North took over the South in our absence slaughtering hundreds of thousands of South Vietnamese in the process…  Sheila, Vietnam is now called the Socialist Republic of Vietnam is a single-party state.  Get it?

Sheila, you don’t aid Obama’s defense when you open your mouth.  You only serve to lower the bar in terms of his arguments.  Maybe you should talk more on your cell phone, like you did during one of your town hall meetings.

  1. Hey there would you mind sharing which blog platform you’re using? I’m looking to start my own blog in the near future but I’m having a difficult time choosing between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your design and style seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something unique. P.S Apologies for getting off-topic but I had to ask!

  2. No matter what you may claim, I have never in my life seen a President of the US called (and his wife) called a (at various times) “monkey” and “ape” and had people wearing blackface.

Kinda says it all by itself what it’s really about.

    1. I totally agree that any such comments are totally out of line who the target it or under what circumstances. Clarence Thomas was also subjected to such slurs and that was and is despicable. Where ever there are people, there will always be prejudice and IGNORANCE. That does not excuse the labeling of honest policy dissent as Racism by either side. Policy dissent is healthy for any society and how we move forward. Using race to stifle debate demeans the argument of the dissenting party.
