Federal ID will be Required to Access the Internet

Obama is planning to grant the US Commerce Department the POWER to REQUIRE AMERICANS to have a Federal ID to access the INTERNET!!!  Obama sees this as the perfect way to create a Federal ID Network.  The new identity system will be called “National Strategy for Trusted Identities in Cyberspace”.  US Commerce Secretary Gary Locke said;

“We are not talking about a national ID card,” Locke said at the Stanford event. “We are not talking about a government-controlled system. What we are talking about is enhancing online security and privacy and reducing and perhaps even eliminating the need to memorize a dozen passwords, through creation and use of more trusted digital identities.”

So, Big Brother is trying to help me so I don’t have to remember multiple passwords and that is the point?  The White House Czar over Cybersecurity Howard Schmidt said;  There’s no chance that “a centralized database will emerge,” and “we need the private sector to lead the implementation of this”.  If there is no national database, then where are the IDs going to be stored and validated for user access?  HOW DUMB DOES OBAMA THINK WE ARE?  PRETTY DARN DUMB.  The reference to the private sector will probably include the cooperation from Google, a huge Obama supporter who has cooperated with other governments to trample the access rights of their citizens, to control the access to the internet then ultimately its content.

By the very fact that Obama will require you to have a Federal ID to access the internet, he is trampling on the First Amendment.  There is also no provision in the Constitution that requires Federal Registration to access a non governmental facility.  US Citizens will be subjected to different Internet Access rules than the rest of the world with the exception of China and Venezuela, two bastions of democracy and free speech.
