John Cusack Proves Why Hollywood Writes Scripts!

Talent does have limits...

The esteemed actor said on one of his Tweets:

“I AM FOR A SATANIC DEATH CULT CENTER AT FOX NEWS HQ AND OUTSIDE THE OFFICES OF DICK ARMEY AND NEWT GINGRICH-and all the GOP WELFARE FREAKS,”

Thank you John for the keen political insight.  You have now joined the ranks of many actors who are on our “NO WATCH” list.  It is like the “no fly” list but easier to enforce.  You have the right of free speech which all of us will defend, but so do we.  We will exercise ours by not going to your movies. (Free Speech also includes Free Feet)   I believe Brad Pitt once aptly observed when someone asked him about the plight of the Dalai Lama after his filming 7 Years in Tebet.  Mr. Pitt replied something like and I paraphrase, “I am an actor and I read the lines someone else has written, what do I know?”  John, maybe you should hire a Tweet Writer.  You may keep more fans.

If you are truly serious about your views, take a deep breath and discuss issues without using emotional adjectives and adverbs or colorful metaphors.  State your positions succinctly and back them up with verifiable facts and references.  It is hard work but the education alone is worth the effort.  Hopefully no one will take your threats to heart like all of the TV Psychologists are opining.  They always over react.

Alas, I will miss your portrayal of Nick Falzone in Pushing Tin, John Kelso in Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil (my wife’s favorite), and Nicholas Easter in Runaway Jury which were all movies that had meaningful messages besides being entertaining.  Good luck with your career and we all hope that someday you can express yourself more cogently and in a manner that we can at least respect…
