Banana Republic of the Disconnected States of America Vs. the State if Arizona

NEWS FLASH:  September 2,  2010:  The FEDs have now filed suit against Sheriff Joe Arpaio for filing to provide them with the requested documents.   Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s attorney has requested an explaination of what the FEDs were investigating.   To date, the FEDs have not explained what they are investigating.   Sheriff Joe Arpaio has turned over thousands of pages to the FEDs but is declining to continue to do so until the scope and target of the investigation is disclosed.   Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s attorney has stated in the past that the FEDs are on a fishing trip and are looking for anything that could be construed as unlawful acts by the Sherriff’s department.

Is this the kind of United States we Want to Live In?

The Disconnected State of Arizona

Well, I think we have “transformed” this country into the “Disconnected States of America”!  Satisfied yet?  Obama filed suit against Arizona’s 1070 law, now they are suing the state because the state’s community colleges check potential employee’s green cards before they could be hired.  The violation was ostensibly due to that fact that the state’s community colleges required 250 applicants to provide more paperwork than provided by law to prove their eligibility to work.  E. Perez, assistant attorney general for Justice’s Civil Rights Division said that the federal Immigration and Nationality Act “makes it unlawful to treat authorized workers differently during the hiring process based on their citizenship status.”  But, it is unlawful for any employer to hire an illegal alien!  So, throw out the green cards and let’s install a network of Ouija Boards?  Would the same Justice Department prosecute Arizona for hiring illegal aliens?  HMMM…

Next comes the harassment of Sheriff Joe Arpaio.  He and his department has had to provide thousands of pages of documents so the Feds can snoop and see if they can find any smoking guns.  His primary offense is enforcing local, state and federal laws.  As sheriff Joe so aptly puts it and I paraphrase, “if you don’t want me to enforce the law, change the law!!  IF it is on the books, he will enforce it.  I think that is what we expect of our law enforcement officials.

The United Nations to the Rescue:

Not to be outdone by the Obama Justice Department, the Obama State Department filed a letter with the UN Council on Human Rights Abuses that one of the Disconnected States, Arizona, violated the Human Rights of yet unknown and yet undamaged peoples living the state of Arizona.  We stood up and did three “mea culpa” in the hopes that egregious damages perpetrated on no one in the state of Arizona by unknown state and local Arizona law enforcement offices be forgiven by those esteemed defenders of human rights like Iran, Syria, North Korea, China, Russia, and on and on and on…  This is actually worse than either the 1070 or the community college lawsuits.

What country are we in?  If Obama and the Left hate this country and feel that we have abused the world at large, they are free to leave.  If they want to stay here and set up their own country, we can give them Connecticut and Massachusetts.  That should hold this little clan.  Then they can put up windmills on the coast line of the Cape; live in the woods of Connecticut and eat nuts and roots; and we will promise that we won’t let any of our dirty air invade their air space…

Honestly, the only answer is to return to where we began.  Whatever your faith, renew your commitment to your faith and join with your congregation to pray for the restoration of this country.  We are fighting against a godless ideology that does not care about polls, the constitution or the courts.  There is only one Power that can overcome this onslaught…

Report of the United States of America;  Submitted to the U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights;   Section 95/96 that calls out the Arizona Law:  (There are some other disturbing sections that will be dealt with in a separate blog)
95. A recent Arizona law, S.B. 1070, has generated significant attention and debate at home and around the world. The issue is being addressed in a court action that argues that the federal government has the authority to set and enforce immigration law. That action is ongoing; parts of the law are currently enjoined.
96. President Obama remains firmly committed to fixing our broken immigration system, because he recognizes that our ability to innovate, our ties to the world, and our economic prosperity depend on our capacity to welcome and assimilate immigrants. The Administration will continue its efforts to work with the U.S. Congress and affected communities toward this end.
